If you feel you might have over indulged over the Easter weekend then this is just a little thought for the day…..
Do you know your body has approximately 37.2 trillion cells! Your body can replace 20 million cells in just a few seconds. When you take this on board you begin to really understand how important good nutrition is to your life expectancy.
In recent decades, ultra-processed food intake (including chocolate!) has increased dramatically worldwide. These foods now apparently account for 25–60% of a person’s daily energy intake throughout much of the world.
One large study involving more than 100,000 adults, found that eating 10% more ultra-processed foods was associated with above a 10% increase in the risks of cardiovascular disease, coronary heart disease, and cerebrovascular disorders.
Another large study involving almost 20,000 adults, found that eating more than 4 servings of processed food daily was linked with an increased risk of all-cause mortality. For each additional serving, all-cause mortality risk increased by 18%. The main cause of death was cancer.
So now the weekend’s over let’s get back on plan and start promoting those healthy little cells again! 🤣 🤣 🤗 🤗 💃🏼 💃🏼 😉 😉 🙏 🙏
